Business Development Representative

Business Development Representatives play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and establishing relationships with potential customers. BDRs are responsible for generating leads, qualifying prospects, and nurturing them through the sales pipeline. They have an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the shipping technology industry and contribute to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities Deliverables/Outcomes

Lead Generation

  • Proactively research and identify potential customers within the shipping and logistics industry.
  • Utilize various channels such as online research, industry events, and networking to generate leads and appointments for sales team.
  • Develop and maintain a robust database of potential customers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted lead generation campaigns.

Prospect Qualification

  • Engage with leads to understand their specific shipping and logistics challenges and needs.
  • Assess and qualify prospects to determine their fit as potential customers.
  • Conduct in-depth conversations with prospective clients/partners to gather key information and pain points.
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition of eHub’s solutions.

Pipeline Management

  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date Hubspot with accurate lead and prospect information.
  • Monitor and manage leads as they progress through the sales pipeline.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate follow-up with prospects.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on lead conversion and pipeline status.
  • Track prospects progress as they move to live shipping and assist sales reps as needed.

Relationship Building

  • Cultivate strong and enduring relationships with potential and existing customers.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and support to build trust and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to facilitate seamless handoffs of qualified leads.

eHub Product and Industry Knowledge

  • Have a full understanding of the eHub suite of solutions and their various uses.
  • Understand prospective customer’s needs, considering how it might apply to others, and submitting ideas to drive product enhancements and maintain eHub’s competitive edge.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the logistics and fulfillment industry and how the eHub platform fits in the industry and meets the needs of our customers.
  • Be proficient in product demos of eHub Ship and other SaaS offerings.
